SANDCASTLE BUILDING CONTEST - PART IV - PHOTO FIRST PASS
1200 photos taken and there are plenty that need some work, but here are twenty that need little work that give a good feel for the day. This is now my baseline to learn and improve upon.
SANDCASTLE BUILDING CONTEST - PART III - GOOD NEWS, BAD NEWS
Last time I talked gear and planned on talking about what I learned from my beach scouting session, but the day has come and gone and I want to get my initial thoughts down quick and clean. Afterwards, I have up until November 21st to post process before submitting images. That'll give me time to do things right and give the images a proper update.
Good News - I actually went through with the event. That's one notch on my belt.
Bad News - It didn't go perfect. (Hey, I can dream!)

A few weeks ago my friend's birthday was at Baker Beach, San Francisco and the plan was a to get there early, take pics of Golden Gate Bridge, then join the BBQ. Things changed.
The bad news is that the Golden Gate pics were decent to terrible. The good news is that I kept my camera by my side and ended up taking some great pics at the BBQ. Here are my top five (in chronological order).
